I still think Alex is being hot and cold with you because he's got feelings for you and doesn't want to be gay.
When he sent you a text at 7am sunday morning saying "wuu2" he must have been lying in bed thinking about you. If that's not a good sign, I don't know what is.
You see the same thing with straight people. If one suddenly gets very aloof, stand-offish and prickly with another, for no apparent reason, it's normally because there's an attraction there. Especially if there's a reason you can't do anything about it, like the other person is married.

Telling Jamie would be a good idea, but so would telling Alex. But if you're not ready for that, you DEF must go over to Alex's house and see what's up. If nothing else, just say u wanted to see him and thought maybe there was a problem with his phone or anything to just start a conversation. Don't worry about pushing him away, because if u do nothing, he will surely just drift away.
And, no we can NOT conclude that Alex is straight. We can conclude nothing until he confirms it himself and the only way that is going to happen is if someone asks him ... want to give me his number and I will call him? : )
Why don't you do like we did in the old days; just go over and knock on Alex's door, then he can't ignore you. It's so easy to blow people off with texting. Maybe Alex will change his mind when he sees your sweet smiling face.
